Christmas is Coming

Starting to note some store home windows are putting in Christmas Windows and I all the time start to feel excited. We usually celebrate Christmas Day by having fun with a Christmas lunch or dinner with our closest family and pals.
Growing up in our house I can all the time remember the searing warmth outside and scent of a roast wafting via the house by mid morning.

As far as Christmas traditions go, plenty of traditions are pretty much the identical in the Northern Hemisphere, except they have snow!

Homes put up fairly lights and wreaths on the entrance door and decorate the tree and watch carols by candlelight on Christmas Eve.

I always like to hear “All I want for Christmas is you” from Love Actually and a newcomer as an Aussie playlist must have is “How to Make Gravy” by Paul Kelly.

This 12 months has been tinged with disappointment all over the world by occasions which are out of our management but impact many families each right here and overseas. On the flipside we have had some uplifting moments like the women’s football world cup that actually stopped our nation and made family names of our Matildas.

On  Christmas is Coming  of all of the staff of the Dural Chamber and the Dooral Roundup, I wish to want you all a Merry Christmas and safe and peaceable New Year. Thank you for reading my stories every month!
